Nili Yelin – “The Storybook Mom”
Nili Yelin began her “sit down, stand up style of storytelling” 10 years ago during an actor’s strike and never looked back. Combining her passion for picture books, comedy, mommyhood and little ones she created The Storybook Mom. Nili performs weekly around the Chicago area and hosts The Kids Corner every June at the Chicago Tribune Printers Row Lit Fest, her all time favorite book event. Nili is proud to be the Chicago ambassador for World Read Aloud Day in March. Nina Aronson – Soulistic Studio & Spa
Nina Aronson is Soulistic’s Director of Fitness Operations. She has over 20 years of dance, body expression, and fitness instruction experience, and has been performing tap, jazz, and ballet on theater stages since the age of six. Nina received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Columbia College in June 2000 where she concentrated her studies in Modern Dance and Ballet. Since completing her undergraduate degree, Nina has continued her education earning instructor certifications in Pilates, Yoga, and Thai Yoga Therapy, and continues to educate herself with new seminars and workshops, as well as ongoing studies in Classic Oriental dance and Capoeira. She has been trained in Universal Freestyle Yoga, Yogic Arts, Vinyasa, and Hatha Yoga styles, and develops teaching methods that integrate her experiences with a focus on mind/body harmony and holistic healing methods. Beth Prystowsky – Soulistic Studio & Spa
Beth is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance and completed her Hatha yoga instructor certification from the Global Yoga and Wellness Center in Chicago, Illinois. She specializes in Prenatal Yoga and practiced and benefited throughout her pregnancies. Her classes are taught with the goals of improving posture, promoting concentration and focus, enhancing strength, and increasing energy level and stamina. Beth teaches private lessons as well as group lessons throughout Chicago. She hopes to bring a sense of peace to your life through your practice. Janeen Hayward – Swellbeing
Janeen founded swellbeing - a parenting consultancy – shortly after the birth of her first daughter in 2006. As a child development expert with a master’s degree in clinical psychology, she helps parents nurture healthy and happy children. Often that means she is talking with parents about healthy sleep habits for their young child. Prescriptive and nurturing in her advice, she has assisted hundreds of parents in their quest for well-rested children. Janeen is very passionate about healthy sleep habits as she believes they are fundamental for optimal growth and development in the early years.
In addition to helping parents navigate the difficult terrain around sleep, Janeen offers advice and support on a host of other developmental issues including potty training, postiive discipline and sibling preparation. She is available for face-to-face consultations in Chicago, as well as “virtual” consultations with parents everywhere. Janeen hosts monthly webinars on a range of topics.
Outside of work, Janeen has the delight of raising two young daughters with her husband.
Kim Schiefelbein – Bubbles Academy
Kim has been with Bubbles Academy since 2005 and has enjoyed every moment! She has a bachelor of music in voice performance from Miami University and is the music coordinator at Bubbles Academy, where she helps create curriculum and train teachers. Kim has also taught Chicago-area fitness programs since 1992 and leads the Bubble Stroller Fitness class. Kim has been certified by the American Council on Exercise and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and is thrilled to have been recently chosen as a lululemon athletica fitness ambassador. She also stays busy as Bubbles Academy’s speaker series coordinator, the organizer of the Triple B Moms Group and the Navigating the School Search classes, and a mom to her beautiful daughter, Laken. Lauren Hubert – Bubbles Academy
Lauren is so excited to have found Bubbles Academy, where she uses her love of music, yoga and teaching to help kids be creative and, of course, silly! She is a native of Chicago, but received her vocal music education degree at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Since graduation, Lauren has worked with children as an elementary school music teacher in Kansas and as a peace educator at the Children’s Peace Pavilion in Missouri. Lauren sings and plays guitar, ukulele and piano in a band that performs all over Chicago. She takes guitar lessons at the Old Town School of Folk Music and donates her time and talents to Practice With a Purpose, a program that brings live music to schools, hospitals and churches. Lannette Wolford is the owner of KID-FIT CHICAGO. She manages, markets and maintains the daily responsibilities of the business, trains instructors and teaches the program in preschools. She is a fitness professional, trainer, and physical educator. Lannette had her own struggles as an overweight teenager and is determined to do what she can to prevent it in the future generations. Now she considers herself a warrior in the battle of obesity.
Lannette received a B.A. in physical education from DePaul University and is nationally certified by the American Council on Exercise for Personal Training, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America for Group Exercise, and the American Heart Association in First Aid and Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED.
She is a member of CLOCC and a partner with Building a Healthier Chicago. Lannette has presented at IAHPERD and Chicago Metro AEYC and has been featured on CLTV’s Living Healthy Chicago and Medill News.
To maintain her own level of fitness Lannette participates in Sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and 5 & 10K running events.
